Hsiang Ming 向明
THE MANSION OUTSIDE THE MANSION
樓外樓*
Translated by Lisa Lai-ming WONG 黃麗明
|
Despite a thousand li, I dash straight to
The mansion
Outside
The mansion
Only for tasting the long lost
Sweet and sour fish of the West Lake
Steamed pork in Dongpo style
That stomach of mine, long ravaged by light, high-fibre food
Goes so far as to resist this exquisite delicacy
Hey, chef
Give me a bowl of vermicelli with clams.
The chef takes a glance at me, and
Takes a glance at the West Lake in peace outside the window
Enlightened, he says
You guys have been away from home for too long
