The earth’s axis murmurs zzz zzz
Its journey ahead still has trillions of kilometers
Yet my own final destination will be
Perhaps, on that yonder beach you can see

Like a thorn bird I still need to sing
Although the voice echoes only in the shell
The roaring sea muffled my songs all the time
While century’s cold fronts swept by whirring

Whatever you say: a classic tone or a modern song
A few revolving rounds, and we’ll all be gone,
And not until some day, someone with ears of magic
Will find in the shell the verse and music
