SEALED BETWEEN HEAVEN AND THE ROOFTOPS
封在天上和屋頂之間*

Translated by Zona Ying-ping TSOU 鄒怡平

There is no moonlight, no reflection to speak of
These moored hopes could be bartered for a paltry candlelight
I am here composing my yesterday
Under my hand a recumbent mold begins to multiply
No sun has ever visited this place anymore than you have
Fennel comfits will be black forever
Time and again the coffee dies of thirst at the bottom of a cup
The gloom is equivalent to the inverse of the inverse
Cherry or not-cherry blossoms it doesn’t matter
Dawn breaks or not who cares
Wolves are panting, dogs bay
This is a buried loft
The window has been dead for hours
Memories cry revival
