“April is the cruellest month ”1 This, I cannot agree with
The Easter lily just had its trumpets blown
Retreating inch by inch is the winter snow
And cherry buds are full of innocence
From frozen soils a tulip makes its appearance
The air is filled with mating calls
April is teeming with life after all
Sitting under the warmish April sunshine
I can’t dispel the dark shadow left by this line
To bend on pursuing obscurity and difficulty
Had for decades grown to be a deep-rooted habit
With a disposition akin to nature and simplicity
How can I not love April dearly
